I am a mom with a mission – I just don’t know what that mission is yet. I know that God has blessed me by surrounding me with some amazing people. I come from a close, loving, loony family who has taught me so much about how to live this life with love, integrity and laughter. I am married to a wonderful man who looks forward to coming home to his family every night and makes every decision based on what is best for us, even if he does watch too much football  basketball sports and can’t seem to find the dishwasher. I have two manipulatively-sweet and brilliantly-adorable children who teach me daily about patience, love, and who I really want to be. I know that my first mission is to be the best mom, wife, daughter, sister and friend that I can be. That’s the easy one. But I’m learning more and more about the rest of God’s mission for my life. This blog is intended to document my journey toward discovering God’s will for my life. I am starting this blog now, as Mr. Wonderful and I are preparing to join a mission trip to Chadirac, Haiti. Although I have much that I want to include in this blog (as you will see by the category headers on the right with, as of yet, no content) my immediate goal is to update everyone on the mission trip to Haiti. I hope that you enjoy this blog, and I hope that somehow my journey will inspire you, but most of all, I hope to walk within the mission that God has called me to.

Sidenote: Although I assume that the majority of you reading this will be friends and family, I have decided to make this a public blog, and thus have decided to use nicknames for anyone that I talk about here. Somehow it makes it feel a little more private. Plus, nicknames are just fun!
